The 2026 School Management Committee (SMC) elections have been successfully concluded across all schools in the Lubombo region. The elections, which took place from 16th to 27th February 2026, saw high participation from parents, community members, and school staff in the democratic selection of their school governance bodies.

The REO Lubombo office oversaw the electoral process across all schools to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with the National Education Act. Newly elected SMC members will serve a three-year term and are responsible for supporting school administration, financial oversight, and community engagement.

Training workshops for newly elected SMC members have been scheduled for March 2026, covering topics such as school governance frameworks, financial management, and strategic planning. The REO congratulates all elected members and wishes them success in their roles.
